Two legislators in the State of Connecticut were trying to pass a bill to specifically strip the Catholic Church from being able to run and control the finances of their parishes. The law would set up a board that would control all the finances of each parish, thus stripping the Bishop and the Parish Priest from running and controlling their parish. This is very scary. This is a total violation of the separation of church and state that is clearly spelled out in the First Amendment. All Christian religions should be outraged over this.
There has been so much outrage over this that the bill has been temporarily pulled. It is being sent to the State Attorney General to see if it will be able to pass court challenges. If they believe that it could, they will surely push it again. We need to pray that this will not happen!

Funny how the government wants to get involved with religion when money is involved! But they want to push us away when we say "God Bless You."

OK, now I read today's blog. There are so many scary things going on now. Trena's right, they want to get involved to run us, but want us to stay out of "their" business. God's Church is not a Democracy, it is His Church, His rules - and the majority does NOT rule! God does - THANK GOODNESS!!
