Trick or Treat!

Friday was a fun day of dress up and trick or treating. The kids both had full days of fun at school with parties and costume parades. I was excited that I was able to spend time at both schools. They both enjoyed the evening fun of trick or treating the best. Big hauls of candy and cavities were achieved by both of the kids!

This year Grandma was able to get in on the pictures since she was finally paroled! She brought a friend with her!

It was a long fun day. Both kids crashed before the trick or treaters stopped ringing our door! We gave out so much candy, but we still have more. It is going to be tough dieting with all this candy in the house!

Happy Belated Birthday Jae!

Happy Belated Birthday to my super cute niece Jae! She turned 6 on Saturday and we had a really fun party at her house! She is always a fashionista and she knows what cute is! We love her spunk and her beautiful smile! We pray that God blesses her with many more wonderful years of health, happiness and fun!

Cioppino

Cioppino has become my favorite dish of late! Since finding this recipe, I have been craving it all the time. As the weather gets colder, it will be the perfect Sunday dinner. It isn't the cheapest to make, although you can control the cost a bit. But it is "Oh so good"!

A Sunday Outing

On Sunday we went on a fun family outing with a purpose, to close Papa's Cabin. We headed up early in the morning to enjoy one last day at the cabin.

The kids enjoyed spending time with Papa and running around the woods.

We enjoyed walking down the dirt roads to and from the cabin.

With the purpose of finding rocks and sticks with moss on them.

We enjoyed the peaceful fall scenery and exploring old buildings.

And marveling at the tall tall trees and all of God's beautiful creations.

And of course Mom got to play with her new camera! It is a good thing that I had kids willing to be adorable!
Here are a couple of my favorites!

What a great day we had. I can't wait for next year and the adventures that we will have.

I had to run to the store to get a few things after mass tonight. It was just my son and I in the store and it was past dinner time. So of course the entire time we are in the store, he is finding lots of things that we did not need, but with a six year old this is not unusual.

We were almost done when my son says to me, "Mommy that boy has a mother just like you." I thought this was an interesting comment so I turn to look at the boy and his mother who are across the aisle from us. There was a woman who was probably at least 15 years younger than me who is tall, thin and blonde. This of course is not how someone would describe me! So I ask him, "Oh, he has a nice mother too?" What else could the comparison be?
"Uh uh, he has a mother who says "No" to everything too."
